Nagisa Mio, a marine biologist at Shibaura University of Marine Science and Technology, has a deep love and interest for the ocean and its creatures. Despite her cheerful smile and kind-hearted nature, she remains secretive about her family and past.

Hasuda Rintaro, the second son of a wealthy family, is feared by those around him for being difficult to approach. However, beneath his intimidating exterior lies a young man with a pure and gentle heart. When he returns to Japan due to his father's failing health, he is entrusted with a seaside development project. While Mio wants to protect the ocean and opposes the resort's development, Rintaro is putting his own life into it.

These two individuals, seemingly living in different worlds, cross paths in a project and eventually fall in love. However, their love is forbidden as Mio holds a secret that shocks everyone.
