Dong Chi Sung, a professional baseball player, has never had a first love despite dating many women. "I always thought it was love, but sooner or later I realized it wasn't...". His latest girlfriend has definitely left him, and on the same day, he goes for a check-up and discovers he has a malignant tumor, with only three months left to live. It is now September, so he won't even live to see the new year. Distraught, he goes to a friend's bar to drown his sorrows in alcohol. Not being a heavy drinker by habit, Chi Sung stumbles out and wakes up to find himself in a hotel room with the bartender, a quirky woman he had hardly noticed until now. She then starts telling him about how he acted when he was drunk, before leaving him alone in the hotel room. She truly is a strange woman... The next day, he goes to practice baseball, unable to focus at all. Previously a successful pitcher in college, he was transferred to the outfield after a shoulder injury, and then demoted to minor leagues. On his way home, he hears a familiar strange story being told on a radio program for "Someone Special." But when he wakes up, all the words she wants to say are stuck in her throat, and all she can do is tell him that he is a good drunk. Frustrated and embarrassed, she leaves him there and goes home. She decides to send a card - or five - to her favorite radio programs. Although Chi Sung confronts Yi Yeon angrily about the "radio incident," it creates an opportunity for her. One radio station sends her a free mobile phone as a gift. Chi Sung recently lost his phone, so she stops by his house to give it to him. Another radio station sends her free movie tickets, so she takes him along. While at the theater, Chi Sung coincidentally runs into his ex-girlfriend and describes Yi Yeon as "just a woman I know." Is that all she is?! Is there any way for her to become "someone special" to him?
